More than 300 SCGA members enjoyed a beautiful day at Santa Anita Park on Saturday for the first-ever SCGA Day at the Races. In addition to watching the races, SCGA members were invited into an exclusive infield area that featured a BBQ lunch, family activities, raffles and more.

“We loved having so many of our members come out to our first SCGA Day at the Races, and thank them and Santa Anita for helping make the day so enjoyable," said SCGA Director of Communications and Marketing Frank Moore. "As a membership organization, we are constantly looking for opportunities to add value to the SCGA membership, both on and off the golf course, and look forward to hosting more events like this one in the future. In fact, we encourage our members to reserve Dec. 8 for SCGA Night at the Rink, a new partnership with the L.A. Kings.”

Also in attendance in the infield were Golfsmith, Cleveland Golf, Brookside GC and Nike Golf, who each contributed prizes for the SCGA raffles. Cleveland Golf also hosted a chipping contest after the day's seventh race, in which five SCGA members had the opportunity to compete in front of everyone at the park for a Cleveland Wedge and dinner for four at Santa Anita's FrontRunner restaurant. Earlier in the day, four Santa Anita jockeys had competed in the same competition. Watch video here.

Up next, the SCGA will partner with the LA Kings for SCGA Night at the Rink on Dec. 8. Find more information and purchase tickets here.
