Patriot Golf Day

Started in 2007, Patriot Golf Day asks golfers to add $1 to their greens fees during Labor Day weekend to support the Folds of Honor Foundation. A number of Southern California golf facilities are supporting this year’s Patriot Golf Day during the Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5 - 7:

See below for Southern California facilities that are hosting special events in support of Patriot Golf Day:

- Bear Creek GC will provide three different ways for members to participate:

* Marathon Golf Day: Director of Golf will play as many holes as possible on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Members can make pledges either on an amount per hole or flat rate.

* Concert on Friday, Sept. 11. Open to members and Bear Creek gated community.

* Tournament Day: Each member group will be paired with a Military Service individual. Raffles and silent auction to follow.

- Glen Annie GC will have a "hit the green" contest throughout the holiday weekend in addition to donation jars in three different locations.

- Welk Resort San Diego will be running a "Patriots On The Green" event on Friday, Sept. 11. Highlights to include:

* Moment of Silence

* Flag Ceremony and National Anthem

* Luncheon/Awards Ceremony
